Embassy Summer, under its parent company EC English, offers award winning summer vacation programmes for young people across multiple locations in the UK, Malta, Spain, South Africa & UAE. Students learn English or Spanish whilst immersing themselves in the local culture and surroundings. Our programmes are a combination of language classes, exciting excursions and fun-filled sporting, creative and social activities.
As one of our valued Summer School Managers you will have your role to play in inspiring, leading and motivating an entire school of students and staff, in order to ensure the delivery of teaching and activity programmes, with an exemplary level of dedication to the students' development and welfare.
Together with your centre team, you will be responsible for maximising both students and Group Leader satisfaction, ensuring that we meet or exceed expectations, whilst working within pre-determined budgets.
Education Required:
Staff uniform:
All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure that the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.
Disclosure and Barring Service:
If you do not have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring certificate and are not registered on the DBS update service, we will need to apply for a new Enhanced DBS for you. Please confirm this at the time of application.

Education Required:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards
- Recognised, valid First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Level 1 and 2
- Previous experience in a management role, ideally at an EFL summer school
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills to delegate roles and responsibilities
- Experience in a customer-focused role that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
- Experience working with international students – under 18s
- Previous residential summer school experience
- Experience in a role involving organisation / logistics / hospitality or travel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to motivate, lead and inspire a team and students
- Ability to deal with complexity and resolve problems and issues
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
- The ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
- Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
- A positive attitude to the sue of authority and maintaining discipline
