Embassy Summer, part of EC English, delivers international summer language programmes for young learners. Our programmes combine English language learning with cultural experiences, excursions, and recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Position Summary
The Centre Manager is responsible for the overall management and successful operation of the summer centre. This role provides leadership to staff teams, oversees programme delivery, and ensures that students experience a safe, organised, and high-quality learning environment.
The Centre Manager works closely with Head Office and programme teams to ensure that operational, academic, and activity programmes run efficiently and meet organisational standards.
Key responsibilities
Centre Management
Provide leadership and guidance to centre staff, ensuring effective teamwork and professional standards.
Manage the daily operations of the centre to ensure programmes run smoothly and efficiently.
Maintain high standards of student welfare, safeguarding, and health and safety.
Monitor student and group leader satisfaction and support a positive student experience.
Ensure centre operations align with organisational policies and operational procedures.
Maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, group leaders, and Head Office teams.
Support effective communication across all operational departments.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional working environment.
Programme Oversight
Maintain awareness of both academic and activity programmes delivered at the centre.
Ensure the programme schedule is implemented effectively.
Conduct student assemblies and orientation sessions for group leaders and students.
Hold regular staff meetings and group leader briefings.
Staff Management
Train, support, and motivate centre staff.
Monitor staff performance and provide guidance where necessary.
Conduct staff performance reviews during the programme period.
Ensure staff follow safe and professional working practices at all times.
Work with the recruitment team to address staffing needs and resolve staffing issues.
Administration and Budget Management
Ensure centre operations are delivered within the approved programme budget.
Oversee completion and submission of required administrative documentation.
Review operational reports, including meal provision and accommodation occupancy records.
Confirm student numbers and operational details with Head Office teams.
Provide regular operational updates to the Programme Manager.
Operational Coordination
Prepare staff schedules and monitor working hours in accordance with contractual requirements.
Ensure staff schedules are accurately recorded for payroll purposes.
Coordinate with the transport team regarding student arrivals and departures.
Provide emergency contact coverage on a rota basis as required.
Support the centre management team with operational decision-making.

Organisational Compliance:
The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.
Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education desired:
Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards
Additional qualifications desired:

Working Week:
6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)
All management roles are residential
Staff uniform:
All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure that the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.
