Embassy Summer, part of EC English, delivers international summer language programmes for young learners. Our programmes combine English language learning with cultural experiences, excursions, and recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment.
We welcome students from a wide range of international backgrounds and aim to provide a structured programme that supports both language learning and cultural exchange.

Position Summary:
The Learning Mentor is responsible for supporting the delivery of engaging English language learning experiences and activities for international students participating in the summer programme. The role focuses on enhancing students’ language development through structured support, interactive activities, and guided practice.
The Learning Mentor assists in developing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment both in and outside of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver English language lessons according to the programme curriculum.
Prepare lessons that encourage student participation and communication.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Manage classroom behaviour in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate academic records and complete required administrative tasks.
Participate in academic meetings, workshops, and mentor briefings.
Monitor student welfare and report any concerns to academic management.
Support the planning and delivery of daily activity programmes, including sports, cultural activities, and excursions.
Supervise groups of students during on-site activities and off-site visits.

The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.
Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education Required:
CELTA, Trinity ESOL or TEFL Course (min 120 hours input)
Educated to Degree Level or equivalent (Level 6 Qualifications and Credit Framework)
Experience
Previous experience teaching English as a foreign language is preferred.
Experience teaching teenagers or young learners is an advantage.
Skills
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to create engaging learning activities.
Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
Working week:
6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)
40 hours per week
Staff uniform:
All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure that the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.
