Position Summary:
The Hall Manager is responsible for the efficient management of all facets of accommodation in Centre; this includes allocation (to regulatory standards of Welfare), damage inspections/reporting and accurate record keeping of occupants. In the larger centres or in absence of the Welfare Manager the Hall Manager will have to cover their duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact
Creating the allocation spreadsheet, allocating students by maximizing the occupancy, and keeping the file up to date
Maximising students and group leaders’ satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations
Ensuring the centre operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety, safeguarding, HR practices
Taking appropriate action under guidance from the Centre Manager, Head Office and/or professional bodies where issues of health, safety or welfare arise
Specific duties include:
To deal with any complaints or problems relating to accommodation
To report any maintenance issues to the campus staff
To undertake regular inspections of all rooms and to ensure damage is kept to a minimum and reported to the Centre Manager and Group Leaders when found
To ensure that standards of cleanliness are kept up by the accommodation provider
To maintain & submit weekly records of room allocations, occupancy and accounting
To organise any meal bookings for your centre and keep weekly records
To assist with student arrival and departures at centre as needed and requested by
the Centre Manager
To update notice boards in the Centre
To assist with student lost key and accessing student’s rooms
To oversee the care and supervise of individual students (those not part of group)
To ensure all students' dietary, medical, religious, and cultural needs are met
To support other managers and carry out other operational/campus duties as assigned or requested by the Centre Manager
Organisational Compliance:
The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.
Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education Required:
Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towards
Valid First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
Safeguarding Level 1 (Desirable – if not in possession, Embassy Summer will provide the necessary course upon successful selection)
Experience Required:
Experience in a role involving organisation / logistics / travel
Office/administration experience
A high degree of IT competency - Outlook & MS Office (specifically Excel)
Experience Desired:
Experience working with juniors
Management experience in a summer school environment
Managing multiple departments and teams
Personal Attributes:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Ability to deal and resolve complex problems and issues
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
Demonstrates emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
Demonstrates a positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining discipline
Demonstrates an exceptional level of attention to detail
Fluent in written and spoken English
Knowledge of any other languages is considered advantageous
Eligibility and Safe Recruitment:

Working Week:
6 days* out of 7 (1 day off per week)
All management roles are residential
* Maximum weekly hours will be detailed in the Offer Letter
Remuneration:
Our competitive Management weekly pay, inclusive of accommodation, will be based on the size of the centre and experience. We will discuss this with you at the time of your interview.
Accommodation is provided from the night before your first working day until the night of your last working day.
Embassy Summer does not cover costs for flight tickets and airport transfer to/from the accommodation.
